DuckPost supports two subscriber channels:
  • Email subscribers
  • Slack channel subscribers
You manage both from Subscribers.

Email subscriptions

Email subscriptions use a confirmation flow:
  1. A customer submits their email from the public page or widget flow.
  2. DuckPost sends a confirmation email.
  3. The subscriber becomes active after confirmation.
Customers can later unsubscribe through their unsubscribe link.

Slack subscriptions

Slack subscriptions use Slack OAuth from the public page. A customer connects a Slack workspace and chooses a channel to receive release notifications.

Managing subscribers

From the subscribers table, you can:
  • Switch between Email and Slack
  • Filter by enabled or disabled notifications
  • Page through large subscriber lists
  • Turn notifications on or off per subscriber

What disabled means

An entry may appear disabled because:
  • Your team turned notifications off for that subscriber
  • Delivery became blocked
  • The Slack channel subscription is no longer usable

When notifications are sent

DuckPost sends notifications when a release becomes live and the release has subscriber notifications enabled. That includes:
  • Immediate publication
  • Scheduled publication
  • Auto-published release agent jobs
